Ministry of Labor & Social Development (MLSD) in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working towards classifying and restructuring professions with details.
Laborer & Workers professions are to be classified as per the Director of the Professional Examinations Program at the ministry Naif Al-Omair
A workshop was held at Asharqiya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Eastern Province Chamber) where there were discussion about removal of Fee on changing Profession.
There will a test ‘Profession Test’, which the worker has to undergo to get these changes done without a Fee. There are plans to attach the lists of workers with the bids submitted for government projects and the government authorities will make it conditional to present a profession examination certificate for workers in all projects.
Al-Omair the Director of the Professional Examinations Program said that the program is studying ‘The Skills Record’ worker by worker with multiple skills.
