Saudi Arabia’s Covid Aid to India :The Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Indian expats living in Saudi Arabia praised the rescue efforts to assist India in fighting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

“As strategic partners, India and Saudi Arabia have always supported each other. During the COVID-19 crisis in India, the Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia provided  Covid aid to India  not only by the government but  many companies from kingdom” Ausaf Sayeed told Arab News. On Sunday,

, Saudi Arabia sent another batch of liquid medical oxygen to India to help the country deal with shortages in the deadly second wave of the pandemic.

“Intergovernmental, Arab National Oil Company (Aramco) recently announced the shipment of three containers with 60 metric tons of oxygen, most likely within the next few months,” he added.

“Before this, various companies and community organizations have worked hard to deliver goods through B2B, so that the total amount of oxygen transported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached 300 metric tons, in addition to more than 6000 oxygen cylinders and various oxygen concentrators.”

Mr.Ausaf Sayeed  expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as the relevant authorities and “all others who have provided assistance in facilitating the rapid distribution of relief materials by providing all approvals and support.”

He said that this expression of unity is “extremely important”, emphasizing the increasingly close ties between the two countries, especially from the development of relations to the development of a strategic alliance, which covers politics, economy, defense, security and all aspects of culture.

Ambassador said that cooperation in the health sector has always been an important aspect of this partnership, which is also reflected in India’s export of various medicines last year and the export of COVID-19 vaccines earlier this year.
