Jawazat has earlier helped all the expatraites by automatic renwing the Iqama for free if their ecpiry date has fallen between March 18, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
The free iqama renewal will be done only for those whose iqama expiry period is between March 18, 2020 to June 30, 2020
But what if happen after June 30, 2020. In this pandemic will Jawazat give another renewal for Free or as the lockdown is over now Expats have to pay for Iqama Renewal.
Penalties after Iqama Expiry
Expats have to pay their Iqama renqal after it got expired. Jawazat in Saudi Arabia has confirmed that non-renewal of Iqama will have implication on the owner with penalties.
- 500 SR for not renewing the Iqama for the first time within timelines
- 1000 SR for not renwing the Iqama second time
- for the 3rd time, the offender will be sent back to home country
Jawazat asked expatriates to keep checking their Iqama dates to get it renewed at the correct time to avoid fines and penalties of Iqama Expiry.
Iqama valaidity can be checked through Absher or Muqeem platform.

Question 1: Final Visa expired 3 days ago. Is there any way to cancel the Visa without Fine?
Answer by Jawazat: Visa expiration fees will be applied after 60 days. The fine must be paid inorder to complete the procedure
Question 2: How long is the Exit & Return Visa to leave the kingdom of Saudi Arabia?
Answer by Jawazat: Duration of Exit & Retunr Visas will be for 60, 90 or 120 days and their validity is of three months for travel from the date of issuance
