Automatic Iqama Extension for expats outside KSA

The general directorate of passports in Saudi Arabia jawazat has rolled out the extension of Iqama for expatriates who are living outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Extension of Iqama.for expats outside by Saudi Arabia government is free of cost and it will be extended only for a month.

This is a good news for all the expatriate who are outside kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have exit re entry visa and are unable to travel to Saudi Arabia due to coronavirus pandemic.

All the expats who are utside the kingdom and whose Iqama got expired between 1st of August 31st of August will get an extension of Iqama automatically for a month.

The Absher app of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) had also announced that the extension of the period of the exit and re-entry visa service will be available for domestic workers and family members of expats. The conditions for provision of this service included that the person shall be outside the Kingdom and there is validity for the residency permit (iqama) covering the extension period.
