Dubai Government has taken a big decision towards Expats living in Dubai. Dubai government has announced Retirement Visa for Dubai Expats offering expatriates to work and retire Dubai. All resident Expats and foreigners get the chance to retire in the Emirate.

Dubai government has announced this scheme of “Retire in Dubai” which will all residents who are aged 55 and above to apply for retirement Visa.

Retirement Visa for Dubai Expats Launched

The retirement visa in Dubai would be renewable every five years (5 yrs)

This is one of a kind of scheme announced in Dubai for the first time. Dubai Retirement Visa has certain requirements for eligibility.

Here are the Requirements for Retirement Visa for Dubai Expats:

  • Earning a monthly income of 20,000 dirhams ($5,500)
  • Savings of 1 million dirhams
  • or Owning a property in Dubai worth 2 million dirhams
  • 55 yrs and above
  • Applicants must have valid UAE health insurance.

This will be a good news for all 200 nationalities living in Dubai. Helal Saeed (Dubai Tourism director said, “The retirement programme will contribute towards our tourism economy by facilitating frequent visits from families and friends of the retirees and increasing visitation from markets with a high retiree population.”
