Saudi Arabia will lift all COVID Travel ban on citizens starting Jan 2021. Saudi Citizens can come to the kingdom or leave kingdom using Sea, Air, Land starting Jan 2021 while taking all precautionary measures and following all protocols related to COVID-19.
Though starting today GCC citizens and expat (along with their dependents) can enter kingdom starting tomorrow 5th of September 2020.
This decision was taken keeping in mind the declining trend of cases in Saudi Arabia.
? Government employees (civil and military who are assigned duties)
? Workers in Saudi diplomatic missions or attachés abroad, their families and companions
? Patients according to medical situation (if treatment is required outside the Kingdom esp. cancer patients or in need of organ transplantation)
? Scholarship students and trainees
? Humanitarian cases (ex. death of loved ones outside the Kingdom)
? Participants in sporting events
? Workers in permanent jobs outside the Kingdom
? Businessmen who have urgent working conditions (finishing businesses, visiting clients, etc.)
? Participants in regional and international sporting events
? Residents outside the Kingdom, and their companions
? Exit and entry from the Kingdom will be allowed for citizens of the GCC countries
? Entry to non-Saudis who holds the ff visas:
– Exit and Re-entry
– Work
– Residence
– Visit
provided that the entry is in accordance with the preventive health controls and procedures set by the committee concerned. An evidence that the person is negative of COVID-19 must be presented. Test must be conducted no more than 48 hours before arrival.
The committee has the right to take preventive measures by suspending travel to countries where the coronavirus is common, or coming from countries where the coronavirus is common. No list of countries included are released as of now.
International travel FOR ALL and opening of all ports will be on January 1, 2021.
