The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has initiated automatic extension of Iqama validity till 31st January 2022. Along wit iqama (residence permit), exit & re-entry visa will also be extended without any charge fees to expats. Automatic extension of Iqama & Visa without payment or any other fees until January 31, 2022.
Expats who are from other countries and are facing travel ban and are unable tom come to Saudi within their Re-entry Visa validity time will be the beneficiaries of this initiative taken inline with implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
Free Iqama & Visa Validity Extension till Jan 2022
The extension will not be applicable to those expats who are fully vaccinated within the Kingdom before their departure on exit and re-entry visa.
King Salman has also asked to extend the validity of visit visa issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for visitors who are outside the Kingdom and who are from the list of countries facing travel ban due to the outbreak of coronavirus. The period of extension will be until Jan’31 2022.
King of Saudi Arabia has been very keen and helpful to all the residents & expats living in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as he has been providing Free Extension of Iqama & Visa since the start of pandemic. Expats are happy with this decision of Saudi government in this period.
All Iqama & Visa extension will be Free of Cost and the validity of Iqama & Visa will be extended till end of January 2022.
Jawazat also stated that the extension will be carried out automatically in cooperation with the National Information Centre (NIC) without the need of people personally visiting Jawazat office in Saudi Arabia.
