Visitors Of Guest Umrah Can Now Be Hosted By Saudi Iqama Holders

The citizens of Saudi Arabia and the expatriates holding the Saudi Iqama in the near future will be having the right to provide visitors with Umrah facility. Very soon this project is going to be applied and approved as said by Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

In this new Scheme namely “ Guest Umrah “ the Saudi expatriates holding the iqama and the citizen of Saudi Arabia will be given the privilege to arrange for 3-5 pilgrims in accordance with this new program “Guest Umrah“

For the implementation of this new program it is required that the expats must be valid Iqama holders with correct residence id . As far as the Saudi nationals are concerned ,they can get permission through entry visas as based on civil id. So now it is very essential for the Iqama holders to provide correct residence id in order to get approval for their role of playing host to their Umrah guests. Even the Saudi nationals are required to provide their civil id to get approvals.

Based on the reports given by the Saudi media , residents are permissible to get only first degree relatives i.e, son, wife , daughter , mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law. As for the Saudi Nationals, they are permissible to bring any one of their choice and they only will responsible as caretakers till they stay in Saudi Arabia.

According to this program, the residents and citizens of Saudi Arabia can make the most use of this opportunity by bringing people to Umrah three times a year.

Apart from this , it is now a mandatory condition for the dependents of expatriates staying in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , to have a valid Medical insurance, as announced by the Passport Department. Though it is said that the new measure will not be imposed on the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, holder of special and diplomatic passports , the insurance policy has to cover the entire period in which the dependent is going to stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
