Umrah Pilgrims ‘not allowed’ to repeat Umrah in Ramadan 2023

According to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims are not permitted to perform a second Umrah while the holy month of Ramadan is in progress. Pilgrims are only granted permission to take part in the ritual once.

The statement was issued to provide equal chance for all other pilgrims who wish to do Umrah throughout the Holy month with ease and comfort. This was the motivation for making the announcement.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that in order for pilgrims to undertake Umrah, they are required to get a permission by using the Nusuk app, and they emphasised the “importance of their dedication to the stipulated period.”

The date of the Umrah cannot be changed; however, pilgrims can erase their appointment using the Nusuk app and then issue a new permit if the appointment is deleted before entering the permit time. This is the only condition for this.

Pilgrims are able to seek for another date and time if they are unable to make a reservation at their first intended date and time. This was another issue brought up by the ministry, which stated that appointments are often updated.
