MHRSD (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development) in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced its plan to impose fine & penalties on companies & employers who are violating Saudi Labor laws and going against the ministerial decisions.

Fines are based on the no of people working in the company along with violation of the specific regulation

SR 5000 Fine / Penalty – Company with less than 10 workers violating the rules, if by the employer does not comply with the rules of occupational protection, safety and health approved by the ministry, in addition to taking the necessary precautions to protect workers in all their activities.

SR 10,000 Fine / Penalty – Company with more than 10 workers violating the rules, if by the employer does not comply with the rules of occupational protection, safety and health approved by the ministry, in addition to taking the necessary precautions to protect workers in all their activities.

SR 20,000 Fine / Penalty – Company with less than 10 or more workers violating rules by committing any of the following violations:

1) Selling or brokering work visas
2) Employing Expat worker without obtaining either a work permit or notifying Ajeer portal
3) Employing a worker without obtaining a professional work permit in professions that are restricted to Saudis or without renewing it in accordance with the requirements of the ministry.

SR 25000 Fine / Penalty – Company with less than 10 or more workers violating rules by not arranging a childcare facility. The same fine will be slapped establishments with 50 female workers or more in the event of failure to set up a nursery. This will be applicable if the number of children of female workers under the age of six years is 10 or more.

SR 50,000 Fine / Penalty – Company with less than 10 or more workers violating rules by submitting incorrect information to the ministry, with the motive of gaining undue benefits and services.
