The Ministry of Human Resource & Social development had announced a decision to implement 100% Saudization in closed commercial complex & Shopping Malls starting Wednesday, 4th of August across Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

100% Saudization in Commercial complex & Shopping Malls

This decision is to localize Jobs to Saudi Nationals only in Shopping Malls and closed commercial complexes in entire Saudi Arabia. Providing jobs to Saudi Nationals in all activities and professions in shopping malls as well as at shopping mall management offices, excluding a limited number of activities and professions.

This decision from Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia will aim to create 51,000 jobs for Saudis in the employment market inside Saudi Arabia. The ministry has also taken up the initiative of providing several training & support programs to upskill Saudis.

The exempted activities and professions include cafes and restaurants where the rate of Saudization shall be 50 percent and 40 percent respectively. The exempted activities also include hypermarkets and supermarkets.

The professions that are excluded from 100 percent Saudization are cleaning work, loading and unloading, maintenance of recreational facilities, and barbershops.

Any organization who will comply with the % jobs to locals will face penalty.
