General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has announced that Expatriates from 9 countries will be unable to directly enter Saudi Arabia including India & Pakistan.

Below are the Nine Countries who will be facing a direct ban on arrival:

  • India
  • Pakistan
  • Egypt
  • Indonesia
  • Turkey
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • South Africa & Lebanon

All expatriates must not pass through any of the banned countries listed above in the past 14 days before their enter into Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, in the month of February travelers from 20 countries were banned to Enter Saudi Arabia directly

Apart from the above 9 countries, the other countries were United Arab Emirates (UAE), United States (USA), United Kingdom (UK) Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan

GACA has issued a circular to all the air carriers in Saudi Arabia to suspend the travel of travelers coming from these countries.

This decision was taken into consideration because of new variants coming up and the kingomd have seen an increase in COVID cases.
