First Cinema in Saudi Arabia opening on 18th April 2018

Are you reading it right? Cinema in Saudi Arabia. Yes, you are reading it right. Saudi Ministry of Culture & Information granted have given the first license to AMC Entertainment Holdings to operate a cinema theater which will be opening on 18th April 2018.

AMC Entertainment Holdings is planning to open its first theatre in Saudi Arabia and will increase it number to 40 theatres in Saudi Arabia in the next five years.

First Cinema Theatre in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Ministry of Culture & Information said that the license will provide investment opportunities for running cinema theatres. Most of the Saudi youth who are under 30 years of age are eager to watch movines on Big Screens in their country.

This is also a part of Vision 2030 which is expected to have around 350 movie theatres with over 2500 screens by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.

Opening of cinema theatres will help people to spend money on entertainment and will also create new job opportunites, investment opportunities in the kingdom for Saudi Nationals.
