Ethical Charter of Social Media launched in Saudi Arabia

Social Media & Internet is used by almost everyone nowadays and Content posted on Internet and Social media can be good or bad.

But whenever you post some content on Internet or Social media, it may look good for you but may harm other people.

Soaudi General Authority & New Media Center in Saudi Arabia lauched “The Ethical Charter of Social Media” in Saudi Arabia.

This Charter drwas the framework for sing Social media in which probles like racism, discrimination, xenophobia, bullying and invasion of privacy ar tackled.

As pe ra studay conducted people living in Saudi Arabia use Social Media atleast 5 Hours per day.

It will be designed to allow all citizens who wish to be involved to participate in the drafting of the first official version of the Kingdom’s ethical charter for social media.

“The creation of the charter will go through two parallel paths,” Al-Shamlani told Arab News.
“One is dialogue between specialists in various fields and influencers in the media world through specially designed workshops,” he said.

Whoever signs the charter will be expected to accept its conditions, standards and controls, and promote its vision in creating valuable and positive online content. The charter will be officially launched at the New Media Award Ceremony on December 28.
