United Arab emiraters has initiated to move federal employees to a four-and-a-half day working week starting January 1, 2022. Their new weekend will start from Friday 12 p.m (half-a-day) until Sunday night as informed by the UAe government.
UAE initiates 4.5 Day Working Week to Boost Productivity
All the Government Entities in UAE (United Arab Emirates) will start working in this schedule which will consists of 4.5 working days, being Friday a half day till 12 PM and Saturday & Sunday as Week Offs every week starting January 2022.

By taking this step, UAE has become the first nation in the world to introduce a UAE national working week which is shorter than the global five-day week
