King Salman has been very helpful to Expats in pandemic, he has extended Visa and iqama of Expats who are in the kingdom as well as who are outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to current economic condition of individuals and help expats working in the kingdom.

Jawazat started automatically to extend the Iqama validity of expatriates outside the Kingdom, and extend the validity of visit visas, exit and re-entry visas for free until Nov. 30.

The validity of iqamas (residency permits), exit and re-entry visas, as well as visit visas of expatriates who are currently stranded in the countries facing travel ban, will be extended until Nov. 30, 2021, free of cost.

The free extension of the validity period of iqamas and visas granted by the finance minister at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman is part of the continuous efforts taken by the government to ensure the safety of citizens and residents and to mitigate its economic and financial impacts on them.

Jawazat has confirmed that the extension will be free of cost and will be done automatically in co-operation with the National Information Center for all the Expats.

Currently, the countries who are facing the travel ban from Saudi Arabia are India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Lebanon.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) has issued directives to allow direct entry of fully vaccinated expatriates from countries facing travel ban.

The decision was applicable only to those foreigners who have a valid residency permit (iqama) and left the Kingdom on exit and reentry visa after taking two doses of vaccine against coronavirus from Saudi Arabia.
