Recently, a new service has been introduced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia for the pilgrims agents  and the operators to check the status of the Umrah Visa Application and the required fee to be paid for the Umrah Visa. The pilgrims who are performing first Umrah of their life are exempted from the fee for the Umrah Visa.

If a pilgrim is performing Umrah for the second time in the same year or the next hijri year, he needs to pay a fee of 2000 SR .  However, if the pilgrim wants to wait for 2 hijri years after the performance of his first Umrah and again apply for Umrah visa in the third hijri year, then he not liable to pay the amount of 2000 SR . He is exempted from this fee.

Steps to check Umrah Visa Status and required fee online :

• Firstly, you need to visit the website of Hajj ministry i.e.,  eservices.haj.gov.sa
• Now you need to choose your Nationality , type your Passport Number and also the image code displayed

• Now the status of your Visa application request is displayed  as either

“No Umrah Visa Request available” or  “ The Umrah Visa Request sent to Embassy “ in the REQUEST STATUS and if at all the pilgrim is not applicable for fee, it will be shown as “ Not required to make payment for Umrah Visa “ or if he is performing his Umrah for the second time in the same hijri year it will be displayed as “ Required to make a payment of additional SAR 2000 for Umrah Visa “
