GACA directs Air Carriers to Allow Entry for Schengen, UK, US Visa in Saudi

The General Authority of Civil Aviation as directed all the National Air Carriers to allow entry for people into the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who are having Schengen VISA or UK VISA or US VISA for any nationals which means these people will get a Saudi tourist Visa on arrival from UK,US and Schengn visa holders.

What is a Schengen Visa?

A Schengen visa is a short term visa that allows any person to travel to any of the members of the Schengen Area and can stay for a maximum of 90 days for tourism or business purposes

GACA said that the decision applies to the tourist and business visa holders of all nationalities without exception from the above-mentioned countries. More details about Schengen Visa can be found here.

GACA also mentioned few conditions for Schengen visa holders for Permitting entry into the kingdom:

– Visa should be valid while entering into the kingdom at Entry point
– Visa should also be valid at the time of Exiting the Kingdom
– Visa holder’s passport must have a stamp with an entry visa at least once from the country, which is granting the visa.

GACA has called all the national air carriers to review their conditions for giving entry for Visa holders from Western countries.

It is noteworthy that the authority had issued a circular on Dec. 4 that instructs the national air carriers to receive holders of Schengen and American visas if they want to visit the Kingdom at any time, as long as the conditions set by the authority are met.
