First International Flight from New King AbdulAziz International Airport

The New King AbdulAziz International Airport which was fully opened in March 2019 with opening of all 46 gates) all flight domestic and international scheduled between JAN – MAR 2019.

New King AbdulAziz International Airport Details:

• The new KAIA (King AbdulAziz International Airport) will make traveeling easier for local and international passengers to visit and do business in the western region of the Kingdom.
• It aims to raise the level of service provided to airport passengers in accordance with the highest international standards and to keep pace with the growing demand for air traffic at the airport.
• The new KAIA (King AbdulAziz International Airport) will be a gateway for millions of pilgrims who travel every year to the Kingdom’s holy sites.

  

• Once fully operational, the new KAIA (King AbdulAziz International Airport) will serve up to 30 million passengers on an annual basis and will be able to accommodate around 70 aircraft simultaneously, including the Airbus A380 superjumbo jet.
• The long-term plans envisage that the new KAIA (King AbdulAziz International Airport) will eventually serve up to 80 million passengers by 2035.
