Grand Mufti & Senior Scholar Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has suggested the people living in Saudi Arabia to offer Taraweeh & Eid in Ramadan from Home.

This was announced to take precautionary measures to fight pandemic COVID-19 across the kingdom and making sure that residents & expats health are intact.

Grand Mufti expressed his opinion in response to Ministry of Islamic Affairs has getting multiple queries regarding guidance with regards to Taraweeh in the Holy month of Ramadan in this situation.

Grand Mufti has said its not possible to pray in commemoration in mosques untill Coronavirus is halted.

He advised people to pray at home with their families and make the most of the blessed nights of Ramadan.

He also quoted that Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) used to offer Qiyam Al-Layl prayers from his home.

For Eid prayers too Sheik opined that its not advisable to pray in open places and mosques, but must be prayed at home without any sermon.

I request all my National, Expat brothers & Sisters living in the kingdom to be safe at home and pray with Allah to end this COVID-19 in or before Ramadan.
