No Active Health Insurance will change Tawakkalna Status for visitors

Saudi officials have revealed that if the status of the Tawakkalna app reads “Ghayr Muammin” (Not insured) for a visitor from abroad (any other country) who is visiting Saudi Arabia from outside the country which means that the individual does not have medical insurance coverage or the insurance policy has expired.

Tawakkalna has confirmed that the status of a visitor will change if a visitor to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not covered by an active medical insurance policy during the entire duration of his visit to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The change in status will be applicable only to non-GCC nationals.

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Saudi Arabia has clarified that visitors who are in Saudi Arabia on all kinds of visas for visit must purchase health insurance to cover emergency treatments such as Covid-19 insurance in the event that someone is infected by the coronavirus.

The rule is applicable to all visitors, including those who are on Umrah and tourist visas, as well as multiple entry visas. The insurance coverage must cover all the time of the visitor’s stay in Saudi Arabia. The insurance policy should be renewed every time you extend your visa.
