Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Saudi Arabia has announced based on the report provided by competent health authorities and also keeping in mind the increasing no. of vaccinations in the kingdom to bring down corona infections, Face masks no longer mandatory at open public places in Saudi Arabia.

The new rules will only apply to those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID 19 in KSA. These precautions were reduced starting Sunday along with other below relaxations

  • Masks will no longer be mandatory at open public places
  • Precautionary measures are relaxed only for who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (all the doses)
  • Permit of using full capacity in Grand Mosque of Makkah with workers & visitors to wear masks when in mosque
  • Usage of Eatmarna or Tawakkalna App for Umrah appointments

The relaxation will now allow people in full capacity to attend the country’s two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. Relaxing the COVID-19 curb decision was approved by King Salman and announced by the ministry of interior. COVID-19 restrictions are imposed for nearly 19 months following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
