Hajj Quota for Indians increased by Saudi Arabia

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to India has announced increased Quota for Hajj Pilgrims for Indians. Quota was increase to 200,000 Pilgrims as per Indian Prime Minister’s request.

Crown Prince also ordered to release around 800 Indian prisoners who were held in Saudi Arabian Jails per Prime Ministers request.

The discussions between Crown Prince and Narender Modi was to setup National Security advisors and work collaboratively on counter terrorism.

Crown Prince called Prime minister of India (Modi) as his elder brother and alos said ‘The relationship between India and Saudi Arabia is in our DNA. Today, we want to be ensured that the relationship is maintained and improved for sake of both countries and with the leadership of Mr. President and the Prime Minister; we can create good things for both countries.’

The Saudi crown prince also announced a $100 billion investment in India in areas including energy, refining, petrochemicals, infrastructure, agriculture and manufacturing.

Saudi Arabia is also investing in the IT industry, and India can help the Kingdom expand and strengthen its “IT footprint,” he said.
