In order to combat the current situation and increasing no of cases of Coronavirus in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has taken a decision to suspend all public transport including Domestic flights, Taxis, Buses and Trains for 14 days starting today.

Only emergency flights will be working in case of medical evacuation or Humanitarian cases will be given permit by General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) will coordinate with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), and other relevant authorities to urgently block the violating applications of passengers transport.

Buses & Taxis:

Buses & Transport will work only for Goverment agencies and only for Public & private health facilities

Bus and Taxi operators will have to obey the orders of suspension else face penalties.

Train Suspension:

Affected in the train services suspension are the Riyadh-Dammam line through Abqaiq and Hofuf, the Riyadh-Jawf line through the Majmaa, Al-Qassim and Hail, and the Haramain Express.

Cargo transport will continue to operate as usual and will take all the precautionary and preventive measures in accordance with the recommendations provided by the Ministry of Health to reduce infection transmission.

All Transports related to Food, Water, Energy, Basic commodities, air freight, health services & communication will not be suspensed.
