Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has directed all the private sector companies to reduce wages or Salaries in this pandemic situation.

MOH has also stressed on the point that If a private company is reducing Salary they cannot ask the employees to work for Full time.

Salary Cut Only if Working Hours are Reduced

So, if there is any Salary cut or Pay cut then your working hours shouls also be reduced.

Also, any private sector employer cannot reduce your salary more than 40% as per statement given by ministry in the Article 41 in Saudi Labor Law.

MOH has also given conditions for Salary cut if the business is effected due to Coronoavirus:

1) Salary Cut only when working hours are reduced for six months
2) Wages reduction can be exception leave, full or part-time leave
3) Employer should not have benefited from Government schemes due to corona-virus
4) Employer should not take advantage of the situation an end employee contract to terminate the employee.
