Calling via Whatsapp was banned in Saudi Arabia earlier, We have got a confirmation with few of the users that they are able to make calls through Whatsapp (this was not working earlier). Whereas few of the users wasn’t able to use this features. Even the Communications and Information Technology Commission stated that they didn’t order and banned or return of such a feature’.

We have also heard that few of them were having intermittent issues, while it was working fine for others. Earlier in 2015, WhatsApp & Viber calls were banned for a short period. Not only Saudi Arabia, but Whatsapp calling service was not wroking in most of the GCC Countries.
