Ministry of HR in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has directed that online participation will be limited only to Saudi Nationals. Expats cannot be directly involved in electronic participatory platforms
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has defined a participatory electronic platform as any application or website that acts as an intermediary to facilitate the access of services to the consumer through the sharing of physical and human assets with individuals.
Expat Firms should provide expat details and take part in any electronic platform
This decision was taken to reduce illegal employment of Expats and encourage start-ups and entrepreneurs.
The ministry’s new decision will come into force 180 days after its publication on the ministry’s website, and the ministry will take all necessary measures to ensure that all private firms would adhere to the decision.
