90,000+ Mosques Ready for Re-Opening from Sunday

Situation in the kingdom during Ramadan was very different than any other normal Ramadan. No Eid Prayers at Mosque, No Congregational Prayer or BreakFasts, No Iftaar Party, No Seher Parties, etc. This year  Ramadan was very unusual for every Muslim around the globe due to the fear of Coronavirus.

All the mosques were closed and prayers were suspended in mosques. All prayers including Friday & Eid prayers were also suspended.

Mosques to be Reopened in Saudi

Now Saudi Arabia is slowly trying to ease everything in the kingdom to bring life back to normal. Yes, living with Corona will be the new-normal with best practices to be followed from Ministry of Health in this pandemic situation.

Saudi Arabia have started sanitizing all it mosques in the kingdom which will be reopened for prayers from Sunday for Everyone. Except Makkah region in Saudi Arabia all the mosques will be opened for prayers in the kingdom  (KSA)

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs have initiated the sanitizing tasks of all 90,000 mosques in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and also running extensive media campaigns to educate worshipers coming for prayers to mosques with precautionary and safety measures.

Here are few measures which needs to adhered while you wanna pray at mosques after it get reopened:

  • Perform Ablution (Wudu) at home
  • Sanitize your hands before entering mosque
  • Carry Electronic Copies of Quran in your Mobiles or Tablets
  • Carry Prayer mats from Home
  • Maintain 2-meter distance between each other
  • Children Below 15 years & people will illness or chronic diseases are advised to pray from Home itself

The current toll of coronavirus in Saudi Arabia stands at 80,185 infected people, 54,553 recovered patients and 441 fatalities.
