Women will no longer have separate entrances or sit behind partitions at restaurants as per the latest announcement from the government.

Though this decision will end gender discretion, but as per Islamic Laws it violates mixing Men & Women in public places. This decision was taken by Municipal & Rural Affairs Ministry Last Sunday.

Still government schools, wedding events and most of the public Universities still remain segregated.

Most of the restaurants still follow segregated entrances for families and single men and also Separate queues for Men & Women.

Exceptions to segregation laws will include hospitals, medical colleges, and banks. The no of mixed-gender workplaces has increased since King Abdullah was crowned, although they are still not popular. Several newspaper publishers have desegregated their offices.
