258 Workers get 20 Million SR by Court Order

Riyadh Labor Court has ordered a company to pay SR 20m for 258 workers from 8 different countries as per the local daily Newspaper Al-Watan.

For this case the court has held around 320 sessions in total to give the judgement and has held a new record in the labor cases.

An average of 64 sessions per day were conducted for 5 days.

Court said that the money to be paid to workers of the company was of delayed salaries, leaves, End of Service benefits, overtime & service rights.

The court also asked the company to provide the workers with acknowledgment certificates for the no. of years they have worked for it.

Digital transformation of the legal system has helped this case a lot in taking the decision quickly, instead of using traditional way using paper documentation.

Digital transformation has helped the labor courts across the Kingdom resolve over 42,000 cases since their launch over a year ago.
