Limit of Two Mobile Connections for Expatriates in Saudi Arabia

Expats living in the kingdom will not be allowed to take more than two mobile connections as per CITC (Communications and Information Technology Commission) . All Foreginers and Expatriates is restricted for a maximum of 2 Sim Cards across all operators for voice as well as data. Though the limit for Saudi Nationas is 10 prepaid Sim cards for one person.

This will work for all old connections, but if you;re planning to take a new connection then old must be cancelled. This rule was implemented to correct the large number of illegal Sim Cards in the market.

Famous Names in Telecom such as Etisalat, Mobily, Zain and Saudi Telecom might get affected by this. Though a fingerprint is required to link it to Expatriates Iqama, a Maximum of two SIM Cards can be provided to the Expat.
