Iqama to be Returned to Jawazat if Not coming back on Re-Entry VISA

Jawazat in Saudi has come up with a new rule that any resident or citizen in Saudi Arabia must present their Iqama or Muqeem Cards of their Dependents to Jawazat (Passport Department) those who have not returned to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the VISA Expiry date inorder to avoid fines.

Iqama or Muqeem cards from the sponsors must be presented to the Jawazat within 30 days of expiry date of the Exit Re-Entry VISA.

So, once these are presented to Jawazat they will change the status of the VISA to ‘Exited, did not return’ which means that employers and expatriates will avoid legal fines and fees.
