Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued an order to act against Social media users who post harmful content Social media website especially on Twitter & Facebook inorder to disturb harmony and peace. Messages which will lead others to harmful thoughts may lead to Puclic Prosecution in Saudi Arabia.

The growth of social media has resulted in an increase in online crimes or “cyber crimes” such as blackmail, embezzlement, defamation, hacking of accounts etc..
This includes media publications, social media, lectures, speeches, books and others. This act is part of many steps by Saudi Arabia to fight extremism and terrorism that could affect the security of the state.
Because Saudi Officials said that people who are involved in such crimes may face Public prosecution.
