CITC(Communication of Information Technology) Minister stated that Calling Apps such as Skype, Viber, Whatsapp ban will be lifted from 20th Sept 2017 and all the people living in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia can make use of Internet Calling Applications such as Whatsapp, Viber, IMO and Skype to call anywhere.

Earlier, there was a ban to not to use such application in Saudi Arabia and the Expatriates were facing difficulties to talk to their homes.

Communication of Information Technology Minister stated that they are on they way of enabling all the audio and video calling application via Internet to Nationals as well as Expatriates living in Saudi Arabia.

All the Telecom Network Service providers in KSA (Saudi Arabia) have confirmed that they are ready to enable Audio and Video calling to all of its customers.

Though this is a good steps towards an ease of calling for Exptriates to their home cou try and speak to their family and loved ones, there might be increase in Internet charges.

However, all the Telecom Service providers in Saudi Arabia plays a major role in Vision 2030 and developing digital society by providing better services to Nationals & Expatriates.
